Yes, we do intend to honor Hazrat Inayat Khan, Murshid SAM, and the Centennial at the Global Peace Dance in Gainesville. We'll probably mention it at our Christmas Dance at Dancing Peacock Paradise as well. Any travelers are welcome!
On New Year’s Eve in Gainesville , Florida , the Global Peace Dance has been a tradition for the last 14 years, organized by DiAnahita Kanoy. Many people from the community participate, with around 100 people dancing and making music at United Church of Gainesville. A Crystal Bowl Meditation at mid-point with Sapphira Bergbower will give spaciousness to the theme of “Harmony” this year. We end with Peace Bells, ringing prayerful vibrations to the planet as we connect energetically with circles of Dancers all over the globe.
